The Lavender gardens and nursery of Cape Lavender ...
Tourists and visitors are invited to wander through the 5 hectares of lavender gardens, where almost 75,000 lavender plants can be found. A lavender-lovers’ walk has been designed around our trout-filled lake, where over 90 lavender varieties are displayed and individually named in distinct garden beds giving the gardener the opportunity to select the perfect lavender for their garden.
The nursery currently propagates almost all its retail and garden requirements, and all the varieties are available in pots from the retail nursery, built to accreditation status in 2003 to meet the demand from the public.
These plants also provide the raw material for the distillation of 100% pure essential lavender oil for sale to the perfume industry, and used on site for product manufacture
It was our ambition to have the largest selection of lavender in Western Australia, which we have now achieved. The next aim is to achieve the largest in Australia, then progressively to one of the largest in the world, with the objective to host tours for incoming coaches, domestic and international tourist services.
